The autumnal Equinox is September 22. On the two equinoxes, every year the Sun shines directly on the Equator and the length of day and night is almost equal.
I was thinking of some activities you could do for the fall and these were ideas I came up with.
Science: Have students research researching different seasons. Have each group present explanations and constellation or solar maps about their season.
Math: Gather leaves and trace them on graph paper. Plot coordinates that approximate the shape of the leaf. Swap coordinates with other students and have them draw the leaf from them.
Writing: Work with a partner and prepare interview questions for Mother Nature and come up with the answers to the questions. Record a video of the interview.
Make acorns on brown construction paper. Cut out white writing paper the shape of the acorn but a little smaller. Have students write about why they like or dislike autumn on the white paper and then glue it to the brown acorn. Post these on the bulletin board.
Trace leaf shapes and write poems in them. Color them fall colors.

Hammering leaves -. Fresh leaves are needed to achieve this because the pigments contained in the sap of the plant are transferred onto white paper. Use watercolor paper that is more suitable for this method. Position the leaf on the paper. Cover them with a sheet of paper towels and hammer them with evenly taping the leaves that are underneath. The impression obtained can be fixed by applying a transparent acrylic spray.
